Our Story

TrueScan Diagnostics was founded for one simple reason: to help people make informed decisions about their vehicles without feeling confused, pressured, or taken advantage of.

The inspiration behind our business comes from personal experience.

Years ago, my mother found herself in a situation many drivers fear. Living on a fixed income and relying on her vehicle to get to doctor's appointments and run everyday errands, she was told her car needed expensive repairs. Trusting the advice she was given, she agreed to the work because she believed she had no other choice.

The repair bill totaled more than $2,200, money she could barely afford to spend. In fact, paying for those repairs left her struggling to cover other important expenses, including prescription medications she depended on.

Later, it became clear that the major repair she paid for wasn't the actual problem. The vehicle only needed a relatively inexpensive relay replacement and an upstream oxygen sensor. The costly repair she was sold was unnecessary.

Unfortunately, my mother wasn't the only person in our family to experience this.

My sister also faced repair recommendations that turned out to be misleading, resulting in unnecessary expenses and frustration.

Watching people I care about spend hard-earned money on repairs they didn't truly need made me realize something important: many vehicle owners simply want someone they can trust.

Most people aren't mechanics. They shouldn't have to be.

They deserve clear answers, honest information, and the confidence to make informed decisions before authorizing expensive repairs or purchasing a vehicle.

That's why TrueScan Diagnostics was created.
